Changing guest behaviour
Let’s start with some of the trends we’re seeing across the industry.
Guests are staying for shorter periods, but they’re spending more during their stay. At the same time, they are booking further in advance. These changes in booking behaviour are important when looking at how campsites manage availability, pricing and their overall guest journey.
Online bookings continue to be an important part of that journey. 63.3% of bookings come from online sources, with Pincamp currently the fastest-growing channel.
Self-service is also becoming increasingly important. 71.6% of bookings are made through the kiosk, showing how much guests are increasingly using self-service options during the booking process.
New government integrations
One of the areas we’re continuing to invest in is direct connections with government authorities. The goal is simple: reduce administration for campsites and make it easier to comply with local legislation. Interested? Contact Sales on sales@camping.care
Italy
We are developing three direct connections:
Police integration: automatically sends guest registration data to the official Alloggiati WEB system.
ISTAT integration: automatically sends the required tourism statistics to the correct regional portal.
Fiscal integration: connects Camping.care directly to a certified fiscal printer and automates the transmission of transactions to the Italian tax authorities.
Together, these integrations reduce the need for manual data entry and help minimize errors.
Spain
We’re also expanding our direct connections with Spanish government authorities.
These include:
Verifactu – the direct connection for the new Spanish fiscal requirements, starting from January 2027.
Mossos d’Esquadra – for guest registration in Catalonia.
SES.Hospedajes – for national guest reporting.
INE – for the required statistical reporting.
The aim is to avoid having to enter the same information into different government systems and make the exchange of information more reliable.
Portugal
Certified invoicing is also coming directly into Camping.care.
Camping.care is now certified and registered with the Portuguese tax authorities, allowing invoices to be created directly within the platform without separate invoicing software.
At the time of the Insights presentation, production data and final testing were still in progress before going live.
A renewed Camping.care back-office
One of the biggest changes coming to Camping.care is the renewed back-office interface.
The functionality you already know remains available, but the way you access and organise it is changing. Everything is now presented as an app, creating a more flexible and personalised workspace.
accounts.camping.care
The login routes now via accounts.camping.care. This allows us to login easily via one source of truth with multiple apps. Like cleaning.camping.care.
Personalise your workspace
You can organise your apps by simply dragging and dropping them.
You can also:
Hide the side menu for a cleaner workspace.
Add or remove apps from the top menu.
Change the order of menu items.
Add important reports.
Add external links, such as Google Maps.
Restore the default layout whenever you want.
This means every user can organise the back-office around the way they work.
App settings and permissions
Every app has its own settings menu. From there, you can see information about the app and manage its visibility and access settings.
Permissions can be assigned to specific roles or individual users, giving you more control over who can access which apps.
Help is integrated into the apps
Every app now has a direct link to its dedicated help page.
This gives you quick access to step-by-step information about how an app works and how to use its features.
The central help page remains available through your profile icon. From there, you can access:
Kai
Service status
Help and support information
The other AI Agents
Your conversations with AI Agents are also available from the bottom-left corner of the screen. Agents can continue working in the background, meaning you can close a chat and continue with your work.
The same applies when an agent is generating or downloading a file.
Notifications and switching accounts
The notification centre has also been updated. You can now filter notifications by priority, and opening a notification automatically marks it as read. You can also mark all notifications as read at once.
Switching between different accounts or administrations has also become easier. Simply use the tent icon at the top of the screen to switch between them.
A renewed App Store
The Camping.care App Store has also received a new design.
All available apps can now be found in one place, with navigation to help you switch between:
Downloaded apps
Custom apps
My Apps
There is also a search function to quickly find a specific app.
When opening an app, you’ll see a refreshed overview containing the relevant information in one place.
Meet the Camping.care AI Agents
AI is becoming an increasingly important part of Camping.care.
Instead of one general AI assistant, we’re introducing multiple AI Agents, each with its own role and area of expertise.
The agents work directly within Camping.care, so you don’t need to switch between different systems.

Kai – your Camping.care assistant
Kai was our first AI Agent and has now learned even more about Camping.care.
Kai can:
Answer questions about Camping.care.
Help you understand how features work.
Access information from your own campsite.
Help investigate incidents.
Create support tickets when an issue needs further attention.
Link directly to relevant help articles and pages.
For example, you can ask Kai how to connect a payment provider or how a specific feature works. Kai can provide the answer and direct you to the relevant information.
Robin – your digital receptionist
Robin is your digital receptionist.
Robin can be trained on:
Your brand
Your campsite
Your facilities
Your policies
Your way of working
Robin can also help with making and cancelling reservations.
In the future, Robin will be available through a chat widget that you can place directly on your website. Robin can also be connected to your phone system.
Through Robin's MCP server, other AI tools such as Claude can also connect with Robin and communicate with her directly.
Ray – your Revenue Manager
Ray focuses on rates and pricing.
For example, when prices for a new season have not yet been set, you can ask Ray to copy the current year's prices to the next year.
You can also ask Ray to take things such as:
Weekends
Public holidays
School holidays
into account.
After completing the task, Ray provides an overview of what has been changed and whether anything still requires your attention.
Otto – your Onboarding Specialist
Otto is designed to make onboarding new campsites and migrating existing data more efficient.
Instead of manually entering all the information, you provide Otto with the URL of the campsite's existing website.
Otto can then scan the website and collect information such as:
Address and contact information
Branding
Campsite information
Pitches
Accommodation types
Otto uses this information to build the campsite profile step by step.
Once the campsite setup is ready, Ray takes over for the pricing.
Mia – your Mapmaker
Mia is our AI Agent for creating and managing campsite maps.
Mia is part of the next generation of AI Agents coming to Camping.care.
AI and security
AI is designed as a tool to support people, not replace them.
AI Agents never have more rights than the user themselves, and your data is not used to train our AI models.
AI Website Builder
Another major development is our AI Website Builder.
We’ve already been testing this approach with campsites, including Wellnester Losheim am See and Camping Ter Leede.
For Wellnester Losheim am See, we first used AI to research the existing website, target audience and possible improvements. That research was then used as the foundation for a new website design.
One of the key improvements is the booking experience. Visitors can select their accommodation directly through the calendar on the homepage or through the booking button. If an accommodation is unavailable, this is shown directly to the visitor.
For Camping Ter Leede, we kept the existing visual identity while creating a more modern website. The website includes a booking calendar, with reservations being sent directly to Camping.care through our API.
For web development partners, we’ve also published several Claude Skills. These make it possible to implement a Booking Engine into a website using a single prompt.

New and improved apps
The move towards an app-based platform also means several existing features are becoming standalone apps.
Rates
The Rates app now includes a calendar view alongside the existing grid view.
The calendar gives you a visual overview of:
Open dates with active prices
Closed dates
Open dates without prices
You can click on a date directly to update pricing or change whether a date is open or closed.
Workflows
Workflows is now available as its own standalone app instead of being located within the settings menu.
The functionality itself has not changed. You still have the same features and familiar design, but the app is now easier to access.
Booking Engine
The Booking Engine is also now a standalone app, bringing all its settings together in one place.
New functionality includes:
Campaign tracking
You can use UTM parameters to track where reservations are coming from. These parameters are linked to reservations, giving you better insight into the performance of your campaigns.
Redirect URLs
After completing a booking, guests can now be redirected back to your own website.
Group bookings and rental products
Guests can add multiple reservations to a shopping cart and add rental products to their booking.
This means, for example, that a group can book multiple accommodations while also adding extras such as bikes or a bowling lane — all within one booking.
Accounting and financial administration
We’re also making it easier to manage financial administration directly within Camping.care.
Within the accountancy app, you can manage payments and invoices and import bank statements directly into the system.
The renewed Exact Online app also allows you to automatically synchronise your ledgers and revenue.
After connecting the app in Exact and mapping the relevant ledgers, you can set up the synchronisation so your administration stays up to date.
SiteMinder integration
Camping.care is now connected with SiteMinder, one of the world's leading channel management platforms.
Prices, availability and restrictions can be synchronised in real time with more than 450 booking channels, including Google Hotel Ads.
Reservations and changes are automatically processed in Camping.care, reducing manual administration and the risk of errors or overbookings.
This gives campsites more online reach while making distribution and booking management more efficient.
Automated guest registration in Germany
With the new AVS Meldeschein integration, guest registration for Germany can be automated.
When a guest is confirmed or checks in, their registration details are automatically sent to the German registration authorities.
Changes during the stay and cancellations are also processed in real time.
The integration includes a dashboard where you can monitor registration status and identify any errors.
More options for self-service
We’ve also expanded our kiosk offering with QIOX.
There are now two main kiosk models:
MATE – an outdoor kiosk with a robust 21.5-inch screen.
AMIGO – an indoor kiosk with a more compact design.
Both models include a built-in QR scanner and support payment providers including Adyen, Mollie and Stripe.
Support and maintenance are available as part of the kiosk offering.
Security and two-factor authentication
Security continues to be an important focus.
As AI and digitalisation develop, cyberattacks are also becoming more sophisticated. One of the risks is attackers gaining control of a computer and using an active login session to access data.
To add an extra layer of protection, two-factor authentication (2FA) is now available for Camping.care accounts.
The Camping.care roadmap
One of the most important parts of Insights 2026 was our roadmap: what is available now, what is coming next, and what can you expect in 2027?
Here’s the timeline we shared during the presentation.
Now: beta.camping.care
You can already explore the new platform through beta.camping.care.
The first AI Agents — Kai, Otto and Ray — are already available there.
Mid-October 2026: full platform launch
The full new Camping.care platform is planned to officially go live in mid-October 2026.
This marks the next major step in the transition to the renewed platform and app-based experience.
Q4 2026: more AI and new platform features
During Q4 2026, the next major releases are planned:
Robin – Digital Receptionist
Mia – Mapmaker
AI Website Builder
New Booking Engine
This means that the AI ecosystem will expand beyond the first three agents, with new agents supporting reception, mapping and website-related workflows.
Q1 2027: more releases and app updates
Looking further ahead, Q1 2027 will bring additional new releases and updates to the Camping.care apps.
We’ll share more details as these developments get closer to release.
What does this mean for your campsite?
Insights 2026 is ultimately about making Camping.care more flexible, more automated and easier to work with.
The renewed platform gives you more control over your workspace, while the growing number of AI Agents is designed to take care of time-consuming tasks. At the same time, new integrations, improved booking functionality and expanded self-service options help connect more of your daily operations within one platform.
And this is only the beginning. With the full platform launch in October and more AI Agents, the AI Website Builder and the new Booking Engine coming in Q4, the platform will continue to evolve throughout the coming months.
